LEGAZPI CITY, June 17 (PNA) -- Members of the Paracale Municipal Police Station (PMPS) and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (CIDT) of Daet town caught three men in the act of illegally mining in Sitio Bulaay, Barangay Palanas, Paracale, Camarines Norte, at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
A police report identified the suspects as Roger C. Abad, 32, gold panner and resident of Purok 8, Barangay Gumaos, Jose Panganiban; Joseph G. Cambiado, 30, tagger operator, and resident of Purok 4, Barangay Luklukan Norte, Jose Panganiban, and Alkouriza Aguil, a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Batobalani, Paracale -- all of Camarines Norte.
The law enforcers led by Senior Insp. Lister A. Saygo and Senior Insp. Steve dela Rosa also confiscated from the suspect assorted mining tools like five cap lamps, two submersible pumps, one blower and two sacks of mineral ore.
